This year we celebrate 20 years of inspiring a lifelong love of music for people of every age and background.  We also celebrate a bright and busy future. Our school offers a place where musicians at all skill levels can thrive.  Over 20 years we have nurtured a community of artists who support and encourage each other.  Professional musicians of the highest caliber inspire and challenge our students to stretch towards excellence.

What you see will see and hear on the stage on May 12, 2012 at the Michigan Theater, will only be a small part of what we do. In this year alone, your donations provided scholarships to hard-working low-income youth so they can have weekly one-on-one lessons with faculty members.  These youth tell us that music gives them the drive to succeed—not just as musicians, but at school and in life.

Our school is many things to many different people.  On any given day, you might find about a dozen senior citizens rehearsing so they can again astound the public during their annual concert.  Another day, you can see toddlers just beginning to discover the magic of music.

At a time when people are sore in spirit, music holds our future.  As U.S. President Gerald Ford said:  “Music education opens doors that help children pass from school into the world around them – a world of work, culture, intellectual activity, and human involvement.  The future of our nation depends on providing our children with a complete education that includes music.”

Thank you for your trust and support.
