Jackie holds a Master of Music degree in Flute Performance from the University of Michigan (2010), as well as a Master of Music degree in Orchestral Conducting from the University of Florida (2006) and Bachelors of Music degrees in Flute Performance and Music Education from the University of Rhode Island (2004). Jackie has performed in the summer flute schools of William Bennett (2009, 2007) and Trevor Wye (2008) and in masterclasses for flutists such as Denis Bouriakov, Susan Milan and Alberto Almarza, and Sharon Sparrow.She has performed and conducted in national and international venues, including multiple National Flute Association Annual Conferences, Burgos (Spain) Chamber Music Festival and London Conducting Workshop. She is also the conductor of the Southeastern Michigan Flute Association Flute Ensemble and a board member of the organization as well. Her most recent flute teachers include Jeff Zook and Sharon Sparrow of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and Amy Porter (University of Michigan).  Jackie has experience in teaching students of a wide variety of ages and levels, and is happy to work with each student to create and achieve his or her individual goals!
