Brendan Ige, a native of Pearl City, Hawaii, earned his master’s degree from University of Michigan in 2016. His primary teachers include Fritz Kaenzig and David Saltzman. His performance experiences range from performing orchestral music to playing the sousaphone in a roving “beach band” at Cedar Point. He has performed in the Toledo Symphony, the Perrysburg Symphony, and the University of Michigan Symphony Orchestra. In 2013, he formed a piano trio that placed first in Bowling Green State University’s Douglas Wayland Chamber Music Competition. He is currently a supplementary instructor at Oakland University.
