Community Music School of Ann Arbor REGISTRATION & FINANCIAL INFO
Registrations are due on or before the student's first scheduled class. At the end of the semester sessions, students continuing with private lessons must renew their registration by the end of the make-up week. When renewing registrations for summer private lessons, please take into account vacation or travel absences by either the student or the instructor, and calculate the exact number of summer sessions to be taken. Summer lessons may be arranged with a substitute instructor by the student's primary instructor.
Create an account for yourself with us here, then click "Submit and Add Family Member" to create an account for a child, or additional family member. ("Create Account" option is at the top right corner of the page.)
After confirming your email address, call the office at 734.213.2000 Monday, Wednesday or Thursday between the hours of 12 and 5:00 to be paired with a private instructor or group class, or to set up an audition for a group class. After calling the office, sign in and choose your activity here.
***New students are required to have a personal consultation prior to private instruction, and auditions are required for most ensembles.
Fall and Spring 15 week terms:
Registrations are due on or before the term’s registration deadline.
Some instructors offer extra lessons during the semester, please contact the office to register for "add-ons."

Summer lessons may be arranged with a substitute instructor by the student’s primary instructor.
Payment Responsibility and Methods
The student (or parent/guardian) is financially responsible for all classes and lessons attended. Unregistered students who attend classes and lessons will be charged a late fee of $20 . A student is NOT registered if payment has not been received.
Tuition and fees may be paid with:

● Check (payable to Community Music School of Ann Arbor)
● Money Order
• Cash is also acceptable
ALL BALANCES MUST BE SATISFIED BY THE CONCLUSION OF EACH TERM AND BEFORE REGISTERING FOR THE NEXT TERM FOR A STUDENT TO CONTINUE WITH LESSONS OR ENSEMBLES. CMSa2 reserves the right to dismiss students for non-payment of tuition and in addition, outstanding balances may be referred to an outside collection agency.

Option 1: Register for combined fall & spring terms Pay in full to CMSa2-

Option 2: Register for combined year fall & spring terms Pay in installments (credit card ONLY)
Includes 4% discount First payment must be made to CMSa2 on or before the registration deadline. All succeeding payments will be made by the 1st of each following months $50 non-refundable registration fee
Option 3: Register for one term only Pay in full to CMSa2. Full payment due to CMSa2 on or before the registration deadline. $50 non-refundable registration fee.
Option 4: Register for one term only Pay in a maximum of four monthly installments (credit card ONLY) First payment due to CMSa2 on or before the registration deadline. All succeeding payments will be made by the 1st of each following months $50 non-refundable registration fee.
Section IV: Other Payment Policies and Discounts
If a student is registered for two or more activities a $25 discount is applied to each additional activity.
If two or more members are enrolled, a $25 discount is applied to each additional family member's tuition.
Withdrawals & Refunds
No refunds will be given for withdrawals from classes or ensembles after the second week of the term. If a student withdraws from a class or ensemble before the end of the second week of the term by informing the school in writing, the pro-rated balance of the terms tuition will be refunded. The registration fee is non-refundable. CMSa2 reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient enrollment. In those cases, all tuition + fees will be refunded.
If a student withdraws from private lessons before or at week ten of the term, pro-rated fees will be refunded. No refunds will be given if withdrawing after week ten. The registration fee is non-refundable.
If a student is registered for the combined Fall and Spring terms and decides to withdrawal from lessons, classes or ensembles in the middle of the school year or term, a cancellation fee of $50 will be charged.
